Contest "Road alphabet" is held annually by the Moscow Road Police in cooperation with Moscow Department of Education to improve the efficiency of work to prevent road injuries of children through the implementation of new pedagogical and psychological research on the formation of stable childish knowledge and skills of safe behavior on road.

10 public Moscow preschool educational institutions became the finalists of the competition, among which the winners were determined by the jury. They are:

1st place – State Budget Educational Institution Child Development Center, kindergarten №1787, South D;

2nd place - State Budget Educational Institution Kindergarten of compensating type №2412 North-West D;

3rd place - State Budget Educational Institution Child Development Center, kindergarten №1958 North-East D.

The objectives of the annual contest "Road ABC" are:
- increase of teacher’s professional development in preschool educational institutions in training preschool children to be safe on road with regard to their mental and physical features in perception of information and development of mental operations in every age group;
- Distribution of various teaching forms and methods in preschool educational institutions for children to be safe on road;
- Interaction with parents in formation of danger comprehension of preschool children;
- Equipment of special venues on sites of preschool children institutions for imparting children practical skills of safe behavior on road and strengthening theoretical knowledge on a simulated road (auto-ground).

All participants of the contest "Road ABC - 2011" were awarded honorary diplomas and certificates by the organizers: Moscow Department of Education and Moscow Road Police, as well as wonderful gift packages provided by the publishing group "ROMART" together with the companies – manufacturers of goods and services in the field of maternity and childhood.

Publishing house "Egmont" provided the magazines "My little pony", "Hot Wills"; "Wimm-Bill-Dann" - "Zdraivery" toys; "Avanta Trading" - cosmetics for children "Moyo Solnyshko" and women series kits of cosmetics by "Laboratory of Nature", the company "T-helper" provided bars "Gematogen"; the company "Unilever"- hair care means for the whole family “Timotei” and cleaners “Domestos” and “Glorix”. Besides, «My toys» provided certificates, means for children's clothes care "Baby Speci», tickets to circus of dancing fountains "Aquamarine" and circus-theater "Bazillium."

All received gifts: children and their parents, judges, teachers and road police inspectors.
